Our skid prefabrication teams received a turnkey order for four skids for an open pit uranium mining project in Nigeria. We carried out the design studies as well as the manufacture of these skids in 304 and 316 stainless steel.
Our teams also took care of the related instrumentation, electrical, thermal insulation, hydrostatic pressure testing, and mechanical and electrical functional testing .
The Imouraren site, located in Niger, near the southern border of the Sahara, is one of the largest open pit uranium mining complexes in the world. Orano (formerly Areva), as the project owner, has developed specific techniques to optimize the operation of the mine, taking into account the specific characteristics of the site.
This project was carried out in partnership with an engineer and the customer.
