Chobani is the leader in Greek yogurt in the United States. 5 years after its creation, it went from being a startup to a company with more than 2,000 employees. Cette croissance l’a amené à ouvrir une nouvelle usine à Twin Falls (US).
Our client wished to have a plant that could be easily adapted to receive the new activities he was already planning for the next two years. He chose Boccard to help him build the largest Greek yogurt factory in the world, voted “Food Plant of the Year” .
Indeed, Chobani was able to increase its equipment area to more than 93,000 m² in just 325 days.
Our teams showed incredible flexibility , since the project evolved from day to day, requiring very rapid adaptation of construction plans. Time was a key factor, because in addition to reaction time, our client wanted the factory completed in one year in order to bring its new products to the market. Built and put into operation in just 325 days from order to first salable production, the goal was achieved.
Boccard designed and supplied 250 modules and 12 silos in French and American workshops, each with an individual capacity of 765 m³. We also carried out the installation on site, the complete automation system integrating our TrackAdvance solution and the commissioning of the plant .
It is this ability to plan for the long term and the scope of the project that enabled our client’s factory in Twin Falls to be voted “Plant of the Year”. We are delighted to have been part of this adventure.
