Our Boccard team was proud to collaborate with McCarty Family Farms to deliver a turnkey expansion project that exceeded expectations for milk production and plant efficiency. Initially tasked with doubling the milk production capacity using existing technology, we successfully adapted, innovated, and delivered a solution that ultimately tripled the production capacity without extending the project timeline.
Initial Goals and Scope Adjustments
The project began with the goal of expanding McCarty’s existing production capacity while maintaining operational stability. During the process, the McCarty team made the strategic decision to broaden their product line, which required adjustments to the technical solutions while maintaining original deadlines.
Implementation: Flexibility and Process Engineering
We developed and implemented systems that adapted the existing equipment while integrating new technologies:
- Upgraded the receiving, storage, and cleaning systems.
- Integrated a membrane system, enhancing production flexibility to include products like Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC).
The project encompassed our full scope of services: process design, equipment procurement & integration, automation, installation, and commissioning. This approach minimized risks and ensured uninterrupted operations throughout implementation.
Results: Meeting Goals Without Compromise
Even with alterations to the original project scope, the work was completed on time. Production capacity was significantly expanded while maintaining environmental efficiency—achieving zero wastewater by fully treating and reusing all resources.
